Spectators were given a fantastic show as the night sky over Canberra came alive with a breathtaking drone spectacle, featuring dazzling formations, immersive music, and mesmerizing themes. This internationally recognized event truly elevated entertainment to new heights, making it an unforgettable experience for all who attended.
A Spectacle to Remember
The show, held over the Australia Day weekend, 24 January – 26 January 2025, was nothing short of magical, combining drone technology with creative storytelling. The meticulously choreographed drones painted the sky with stunning visuals, reflecting and celebrating the evolving story of the Australian nation.
This year’s show featured 600 drones, delivering two spectacular segments that captivated the audience.
- Through the Lens – this part explored the evolving story of what it means to be Australian. Opening with a powerful Welcome to Country, the show recognized the enduring connection of First Nations People to this land. Fantastic scenes paid tribute to Australia’s shared love of sport, art, and community.
- Into the Mind – this part shifted focus to Australia’s spirit of ingenuity and creativity. From groundbreaking medical advancements to everyday innovations, the drone formations celebrated how Australians have consistently pushed boundaries with humour, curiosity, and resourcefulness.
